June. 1985. The sweltering California summer gives way to a cool evening. Hop off the #1 bus at the Metro station, buy a burrito for $5 at that little stand, and cross Front St. to Club Culture. It's time to skank to Speciall Guest, Santa Cruz's teenage ska band from 1983-1988. Around the same time as Fishbone and The Untouchables, Speciall Guest was riding the first wave of US Ska.
